Pierre Ragues was elected president of the French Federation of Motor Sport (FFSA) on Wednesday, April 22, with 1,817 votes, ahead of his opponent Pierre Gosselin, who received 1,440 votes.
Aged 42, the Norman is far from unknown in the world of motorsport. A top-level driver and businessman, he has distinguished himself for over twenty years in endurance racing, notably in 24 Hours of Le Mans and in the European Le Mans Series, where he competed at the highest level with programs like Signatech Alpine or OAK Racing.
Originally from Caen, he began with the karting in the 1990s before moving on to car, then specializing in endurance racing from 2006. European Le Mans Series champion in 2013, he has twelve participations in the 24 Hours of Le Mans and has distinguished himself in rally in recent years, notably winning the R-GT World Cup in 2021.
President of the Normandy Motorsport League, Pierre Ragues had focused his campaign on modernizing governance, digitalization and developing karting and amateur practice.
His election marks a turning point for the FFSA, in a context of high expectations surrounding institutional stability and the development of French motorsport.
