Who other than Johan Kristoffersson (Volkswagen) could usher in the electric era of the World Championship rallycross (World RX) ? The Swede actually recorded his 28th victory in the discipline this Sunday August 14 on the Norwegian track of Hell, thanks to a perfectly executed start.

Rather than join the fight at the first corner, the four-time world champion left his teammate Ole Christian Veiby (Volkswagen), Niclas Grönholm (Hyundai) and Timmy Hansen (Peugeot ) bicker and move away. All that remained was to reap the rewards of his careful piloting!

“My first overtake of the weekend was achieved in this final, he laughed. It was nice to be able to do it. After the semi-finals, I was very disappointed because I had suffered a technical problem. I didn't know how to react and apparently I did something wrong in the procedure. But we are gradually learning how to operate these electric cars. Everything is so new! »

2019 champion Timmy Hansen and Ole Christian Veiby complete the podium. Swedish Klara Andersson (Hyundai) becomes the first woman to compete in a World RX final on her debut in the competition at just 22 years old.
