Impatience was at its height on Saturday morning. Now 100% electric, the championship World RX was going to experience his first confrontations. Yesterday's two laps during the shakedown essentially allowed the drivers to check that everything was working in the car, but they were all eager to do battle.

The 8 RX competitors met this morning for free practice. A few hours later, the very first Super Pole for the RX1e went to the Volkswagen of Johan Kristoffersson ahead of the two 208s of the Hansen brothers, Timmy then Kevin. Niclas Grönholm was a little behind, but he still managed to keep Ole Christian Veiby (Volkswagen) behind him. The logic was finally respected.
Contested in cool, dry weather, race 1 once again favored the Swede in the Volkswagen who took the lead over the two lionesses. Timmy Hansen managed to reverse the trend in race 2. Author of the best start and the best time of the day, he took the lead and resisted Kristoffersson's attacks. Now moving with the characteristic noise of an electric car, the RX1e has astonished by its speed and reassured as to its reliability. The race will resume on Sunday with the warm up from 9:05 a.m.
