The 2022 World Championship season rallycross (World RX) begins in Hell (Norway) with a grid made up of only eight competitors. However, there was a time very recently when Rallycross was a discipline in full development, with entrants known to the general public and extensive calendars.
New dimensionWhen the English promoter IMG obtained the rights to the European Rallycross Championship in 2012 from the FIA for a period of 20 years, the category was appreciated by connoisseurs, but the fan base was quite limited around the Old Continent.
IMG decides to make it an FIA certified World Championship, which means that two continents must appear on the program. America is chosen in addition to Europe with two events in 2014, one on the popular circuit of Trois-Rivières in Canada, the other in San Luis in Argentina.

Who will be interested in 'racing' electric golf carts, even 'Formula E' doesn't interest many people? ? ?

Completely agree with you Yves, I have been following rallycross since the 80s and in particular with the group B converted to 88/89, what a spectacle "at the time": Peugeot 205 T16, Ford RS 200, Lancia Delta S4 , Audi Quattro S1, etc etc..... And with very great rally and circuit drivers converted to the French and European rallycross championship. The 1 RX2022: 680 hp maybe but the sound of an electric lawn mower!!! Total rubbish!!!!!!!!!!
