Could it be otherwise? Winners of Rally of Andalusia, the Rally of Morocco, the Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge as well as the Rally Ha'il (Saudi Arabia) this Saturday, December 11, Nasser Al-Attiyah and Mathieu Baumel (Toyota) logically won the title in the 2021 Cross-Country Rally World Cup.

This is the fifth crown for the Qatari while the French navigator is already on his fourth international rally-raid coronation. The star crew of Toyota Gazoo Racing also allows the Hilux 4×4 T1 to emerge with its head held high, as its replacement in the T1+ version will compete in the 2022 Dakar (January 2-14).

Winner of three of the four stages contested in this Rally Ha'il, Al-Attiyah-Baumel reached the finish with a margin of 21'51'' over the Mini JCW Buggy of Denis Krotov and Konstantain Zhiltsov. The podium is completed by the Argentinians Sebastian Halpern and Bernardo Graue (Mini JCW Buggy). Debutant Laia Sanz, associated with Maurizio Gerini (Mini JCW 4×4) finished eighth at 1h23'47''.
