A Belgian consortium, led in particular by Mini Ultimate driver Guillaume de Mévius, acquired the KTM X-Bow brand in 2025. KTM's automotive division thus changed hands, news that was far from bad for the Austrian manufacturer, which had been mired in serious financial difficulties in recent months. Guillaume de Mévius, through his G Rally Team, entered KTM X-Bow Powered by G Rally Team vehicles, a model based on the G-Ecko, an off-road vehicle entirely developed in Walloon Brabant.
After the Challenger category, where Puck Klaassen won several special stages on the Dakar, and where Charles Munster finished in second position in the Rally-Raid du Portugal, the next step for the KTM X-Bow is therefore to get involved in SSV, with a new model.
“The goal is to launch an off-road project. […] KTM will participate in the competition through this team, in the SSV category. It’s a new chapter.”De Mévius explained to Forbes Belgium magazine. A new chapter that should be called KTM X-Bow Off-Road.
This will allow Guillaume de Mévius and his teams to continue diversifying. While he has previously achieved success driving cars developed in his own workshops, the Belgian driver, who has teamed up with Mathieu Baumel since the 2025 Dakar Rally, intends to remain behind the wheel of his Mini X-Raid for some time to come!
