Dacia savors a collective success despite the obstacles: "We are really focused on the championship."

Victorious in Portugal thanks to Sébastien Loeb, the Dacia Sandriders confirmed their excellent start to the rally-raid season. Team director Tiphanie Isnard expressed satisfaction with a weekend that was generally well-managed, despite some difficulties encountered.

The Dacia Sandriders continue their momentum at the start of the 2026 season. After a successful Dakar Rally with Nasser Al-Attiyah's victory, the team competing in the World Championship... Rally-Raid confirmed its status with another victory in Portugal, driven by Sébastien's solid performance LoebThe Frenchman was able to take advantage of a demanding and tricky race to win the overall classification, giving his team another benchmark victory.

In conditions made challenging by rain, mud, and technical stages, the entire team rose to the occasion. While Nasser Al-Attiyah had a difficult rally, notably marked by a retirement during the third stage, the Dacia Sandriders were able to rely on the consistency and competitiveness of its other crews, starting with Lucas Moraes's, who was solid throughout the event.

At the end of this contrasting but successful weekend, Tiphanie Isnard highlighted her team's ability to bounce back and remain focused on its objectives. “I feel great because we’re on the right track. Our goal was to all be together again after a successful Dakar Rally. And yes, last week wasn’t easy for the team. However, I’m really happy that we’re all together again. We’re really focused on winning and on the championship. So it’s fantastic!”

The boss of the Dacia Sandriders also highlighted the overall performance of the team, including victory in the general classification and solid results on the special stages, while also mentioning the difficulties encountered by some members of the team. “We had a very good race. Seb won with a truly impressive result. Unfortunately, we had a problem with Nasser, but we saw today that the pace was there, and for Lucas [Moraes] and Dennis [Zenz], it was also an excellent race. A fourth place and two stage wins. So yes, I'm really satisfied with the team's performance.”

Thanks to this success, the Dacia Sandriders maintain positive momentum and reinforce their championship ambitions, with a team that now seems fully launched into its season, even though this is ultimately the Romanian brand's last in W2RC. Renault having decided to end his commitment.
