Audi continued its preparation for the 2022 Dakar with a second 2-kilometer test session in Morocco. The duos Mattias Ekstörm / Emil Bergkvist, Stéphane Peterhansel / Édouard Boulanger and Carlos Sainz / Lucas Cruz is succeeded in the passenger compartment of the Audi RS Q e-tron. If the vehicle has been tested on all terrains, it can now also cover daily distances equivalent to the mileage of a stage of the famous rally-raid. “The entire team is focusing its energy on continuing development in the most difficult conditions, said Arnau Niubo, head of test engineering. It was impressive to see how important discoveries were coming back from Morocco to Neubourg at a daily rate. As a result, our three rally cars currently under construction for the Dakar Rally will have the latest technical status. At the same time, logistical preparations are in full swing. » The Audi RS Q e-tron will discover the Dakar at the end of December in Saudi Arabia.
