MD Rallye Sport: The desert armada

With seven buggies and as many support vehicles entered, MD Rallye Sport is one of the heavyweights of the 2022 edition. It all started from the imagination and passion of founder Antoine Morel who, in around fifteen years, built this family team.

MD Rallye Sport: The desert armada

Since December 1, the die has been cast. The cars, motorcycles, quads and trucks from the 2022 Dakar have embarked, heading to Jeddah and the Dakar in Saudi Arabia (January 2 to 14). For the MD team Rally Sport, the challenge is more difficult every year to bring more vehicles and mechanics to satisfy customers, some of whom are there to have fun, others more experienced to achieve performance. Twice, Jérôme Pélichet (2020) and Christian Lavieille (2021) reached the door of the Top 10 in scratch.

From motorcycle to buggy  

Antoine Morel and the Dakar, it's a story of love, crazy love! In 1998, he competed on a motorcycle, finishing last but vowing to come back. Other editions will follow where he earns the nickname “Saint-Bernard of the desert” because he helps out several drivers on the side of the track. His garage and a car trading activity allow him to sustain his daily life, but his mind sails far into the dunes of Mauritania.
