The 44th edition of the Dakar will take place from January 2 to 14, 2022. David Castera, the Director of the most famous rally-raid, had already announced this. But the virtual press conference, scheduled for this Sunday, November 28 from 11 a.m., will allow us to find out more about the sporting and regulatory aspects.
First, the route will be detailed. The main points, revealed on the sidelines of the Rally of Andalusia in May 2021, have since been reworked even though the event will be held entirely in Saudi Arabia.
On a sporting level, the appearance of the World Rally Raid Championship organized by Amaury Sport Organization (ASO) and the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) will be discussed, as will the arrival of new low-emission vehicles like Audis.
