Former stomping ground of the Alsatian from the time of the WRC (victory in 2007 and 2009 for Citroën), the Portuguese soil smiled upon the Dacia driver. This Sunday, March 22nd, Sébastien Loeb, navigated by Frenchman Édouard Boulanger, won the Rally-Raid Portugal, the second round of the World Rally Championship. rally-raid (W2RC) 2026.

Together, Loeb and Boulanger enjoyed a near-perfect rally, taking the lead from the second stage and never relinquishing it until the finish on Sunday, after 2,175 kilometers, including 1,320 kilometers of special stages, in Loulé. For Sébastien Loeb and Édouard Boulanger, this is their second victory in three events, following the Rallye du Maroc in October 2025 and a fourth-place finish at the Dakar Rally last January.

“We won the rally, it was a great event, I had good memories of the WRC hereSebastien Loeb said. The race wasn't easy with this type of large car, especially on the winding stages. The feeling was good, the car performed well. We scored important points for the championship, which is significant.

The podium is completed by the Toyota Seth Quintero and Andrew Short's Hilux finished second, just a few minutes behind. For the young Californian driver, this is his best result in the W2RC. Third place went to local drivers Joao Ferreira and Filipe Palmeiro (Toyota), who were the early leaders of the race. They too achieved their best performance on the world stage.
