VIDEOS – F1 drivers at the KENNOL Historic French Grand Prix

Current pilot of the Team Ferrari, Charles Leclerc made the trip to the Paul Ricard Circuit. The Monegasque was also the starter of the Formula 1 race held this Saturday, and he was able to enjoy a crowd bath in an atmosphere that is always as special as that of races for Historic Competition Vehicles.

The four-time Formula 1 world champion Alain Prost was also there, and for the occasion, he drove his McLaren with which he competed in the 1987 Formula 1 season. A way of perpetuating the legacy of a sport which is celebrating its 75th anniversary this year.

For the first time, Mark Webber made the trip to the KENNOL Grand Prix de France Historique. The Australian, with nine victories in the premier class, was amazed by the crowds present from Saturday onwards, and by the atmosphere made up of enthusiasts, connoisseurs, and also novices who wanted to delve back into the history of a sport they have just become fans of.

Franck Montagny had tears in his eyes as he climbed back into the Renault R25, which he helped develop. The carenstone won the world title twenty years ago with Fernando Alonso at the wheel. She was the big star of this KENNOL Grand Prix de France Historique, making the French V10 resonate on home soil!

Finally, even though he's not a driver, Frédéric Vasseur didn't want to miss the event at the Paul Ricard Circuit! The Scuderia Ferrari boss thus reunited with the entire microcosm of French motorsport, some of whose members he has known for over 25 years now.

Well done to everyone, and to the public, it was a fabulous weekend for this Historic French GP, it was a treat to be there….Alesi/Arnoux/Prost, simply fabulous!!!!! See the Renault F1s…..(👍) and all the others………. Can’t wait for next year…… 😎

Missed, Mr. Closer, here's a gala. The P4 dates from 1967, and in 1966 it was Ferrari P3s. Really no knowledge of the history of motorsport and only gross errors in your comments.
