1000 Miles of Sebring: 50 shades of red at Ferrari

Pole for Antonio Fuoco and podium for the 499P #50, the Scuderia did not miss its return to the premier category of Endurance after half a century of absence. But if satisfaction is in order, it does not make it forget the gap which separates it from Toyota.

Ferrari picked up the course of its history where it left off in 1973, at Watkins Glen: on the podium. For the last round of the world championshipEndurance, Jacky Ickx associated with Brian Redman then took second place behind the Matra-Simca MS 670 of Pescarolo-Larrousse, while the other 312 PB of the Team took third place.

Fifty years later, still in the United States, it was only a 499P that had the honors of the podium, but the symbol is no less powerful.
