Le Mans 2025 – Weigh-in, parade, test day… The weekend’s program

Even before the engines roar on the Sarthe circuit, the 24 Hours of Le Mans begin... in the city center! Every year, in the days leading up to the legendary endurance race, the teams and cars head to Place de la République, in the heart of Le Mans, to undergo a stage that is as symbolic as it is essential: the weigh-in.

These are the technical and administrative checks, a mandatory step for all competitors, who present themselves before the stewards of the ACO (Automobile Club de l'Ouest) and the FIA. They ensure that the cars comply with the regulations of their category.

Beyond its regulatory aspect, the weigh-in has become a popular tradition. It offers the public a rare opportunity to get up close to the cars and drivers in a relaxed setting, away from the circuit. Photos, interviews, autograph sessions: fans flock there by the thousands every year.

This unmissable stage will be followed by a parade through the streets of Le Mans and a marshals' march, two other highlights of the weekend's major public festival. Finally, Sunday will be the opportunity to see the cars on track for the first time before the 24 Hours of Le Mans: the crews will acclimatize to the semi-permanent circuit during two three-hour sessions.
