For his return to the 24H of Le Mans, Aston Martin clearly intends to make an impact. In addition to fielding two Hypercars in competition, the Valkyrie No. 007 and 009, the British manufacturer presented a version derived from its LMH earlier this week. Powered by the same naturally aspirated 12-liter V6,5 engine, this model will be available in ten units, and will be the subject of a driver support program reserved for owners.

Among the major differences with the Valkyrie entered at Le Mans, the electronic controls imposed by the FIA, the ballast, the control as well as the torque sensors managing the car's power, will be removed to allow its owners to enjoy an experience that is both accessible to amateurs, and faithful to the original. The V12 engine, a true emblem of the Valkyrie, will be recalibrated to handle traditional fuel. Equipped with Pirelli rubber, the Valkyrie LM will benefit from a seven-speed sequential transmission with semi-automatic paddle shifters, in the same way as the Hypercar entered in WEC This year.

Scheduled to be delivered to its ten owners during the second quarter of 2026, this car will see Aston Martin set up several days of testing, supervised by a team of engineers intended to analyze the data, in particular, and allow amateur drivers to optimally understand this experience.

“It is important to emphasize that the Valkyrie LM is almost identical to the racing car currently competing in WEC and IMSA, with only a few minor differences to ensure that it is an unlicensed and customer-accessible version, said Adam Carter, category manager Endurance at Aston MartinThe Valkyrie LM represents the most authentic Hypercar track experience currently available.

While Ferrari for example, did the same by unveiling its 499P model, priced at 5,1 million euros, on condition that it is naturally part of a selection of the brand, this kind of initiative flourishes. The road version of the Glickenhaus already present at Le Mans had also been announced, while Lamborghini could also be tempted by this profitable operation.
