Hyperpole ranking 24 Hours of Le Mans 2024 – LM P2:

Louis Delétraz is indeed the fastest driver currently in LM P2. The Swiss authoritatively took pole position in the intermediate category during the Hyperpole of the 24 2024 Hours of Le Mans, this Thursday, June 13 in the evening. This is the first pole at Le Mans for the son of Jean-Denis Delétraz, he who had taken the pole at Petit Le Mans in 2023 with Acura en IMSA.

The driver of the #07 Oreca 14 with the “Spike” dragon decoration shared with PJ Hyett and Alex Quinn (Pro-Am) completed a lap in 3'33''217, enough to finish with a comfortable margin of six tenths over Job van Uitert (Idec Sport n°28).

Placed in virtual 2nd row before a brief red flag 7 minutes from time, Malthe Jakobsen (Cool Racing no. 37) collapsed in the final moments of the session. The young Dane slipped to 6th place.

Panis Racing will start 3rd in LM P2 thanks to Mathias Beche. At United Autosports, we managed a group shot in 4th and 5th place, Ben Hanley (n°23) ahead of Oliver Jarvis (n°22).

Laurents Hörr (DKR Engineering n°33) and Patrick Pilet (Vector Sport n°10) complete the top 8 of this Hyperbole contested in very cool conditions (18 degrees in the air, 22 on the asphalt).
