Relive the Hyperpole of the 24 Hours of Le Mans in live text

New for 2025, Hyperpole is split into two separate sessions. The top 12 finishers in LM P2 and LMGT3 will compete in Hyperpole 1, while in Hypercar, fifteen prototypes will compete. The top eight finishers in LM P2 and LMGT3 will advance to Hyperpole 2, while the top 10 Hypercars will battle for pole position.

21:56 p.m. – 🏁 Cadillac takes pole position at Le Mans, Alex Lynn's No. 12! The ranking:

21h55 - Fifth time for the Ferrari No. 50, who will therefore not take pole, while Earl Bamber is second with the second Cadillac JOTA!

21:54 p.m. – Provisional pole position for Alex Lynn! The Briton had a superb final sector to put the No. 12 Cadillac at the front.

21h52 - One of the favorites due to his speed in qualifying, Dries Vanthoor lost his best time for exceeding track limits.

21h51 - Alex Lynn takes second place in the No. 12 Cadillac. Sébastien Buemi is at the stands, the Toyota #8 will not leave, there are 3:30 left.

21h00 - Final improvement for Louis Delétraz, who places himself in third position on the n°199 of AO by TF.

20h59 - In LMGT3, the No. 27 Aston Martin Heart of Racing of Mattia Drudi took pole position ahead of the No. 21 Ferrari and Valentino Rossi in third place in the No. 46 BMW.

20h57 - Mathias Beche takes pole position with the TDS Racing n°29. Fourth, Louis Delétraz (AO by TF n°199) attempts another fast lap.

20h55 - Tom Dillmann (Inter Europol n°43) takes provisional pole position in 3:35.333.

20h53 - Ben Hanley and Mathias Beche improve and take the top two places in LM P2, ahead of Louis Delétraz! Only 46 thousandths separate the top three.

20h52 - Alessio Rovera currently holds pole position in LMGT3 with the No. 21 Ferrari.

20h49 - First passes, and it's Louis Delétraz who takes the lead for the moment with Spike, the AO by TF n°199. The United Autosports n°23 is second ahead of the AF Corse n°183.

20h44 - Note that the n°43 from Inter Europol Competition is trying to do the same thing as in Hyperpole 1, by coming out much later than the rest of the pack, which is already on the Mulsanne side.

20:42 p.m. – 🟢 Green flag, let's go for Hyperpole 2 LM P2/LMGT3

20h37 - Hyperpole 2 will start at 20:42 PM, in five minutes.

20h33 - Eight different manufacturers therefore qualified for Hyperpole 2 on the LMGT3 side.

20h31 - The ranking of this Hyperpole 1 at the LMGT3 level:

20h30 - Qualification at the last minute of the McLaren #95 of Sean Gelael, which eliminates the #193 Ferrari.

20:28 p.m. – 🏁 At the end of this Hyperpole 1, we now know the eight qualified for Hyperpole 2 in LM P2!

20h26 - Best time for Nick Yelloly in the #43 Inter Europol. In LMGT3, Team WRT's #46 currently holds first place.

20h24 - Renger van der Zande set the fastest time with the No. 22 United car, clocking 3:26.135, ahead of the No. 199 AO by TF car. The No. 29 TDS Racing car currently holds the eighth and final qualifying position for Hyperpole 2.

20h23 - 🛠️ Sean Gelael stopped the #95 McLaren at the first chicane of the Mulsanne Speedway, but managed to get going again.

20h22 - Already the fastest, Oliver Jarvis improved after two sectors, like many of his teammates. The peloton should have one more lap to try to qualify for Hyperpole 2.

20h19 - A few LMGT3s managed to emerge from the pits ahead of the LM P2s, so there were a few overtaking maneuvers on this first outing lap. However, it was once again Dane Cameron's #199 that was first on track.

20h13 - The first cars have just entered the pit lane after a slow lap.

20h12 - Fifteen cars had time to complete a timed lap before the first interruption to the session. Hyperpole 1 is expected to restart soon.

20h11 - Tristan Vautier also had a scare at the wheel of the No. 37 CLX. The Frenchman went wide at the Tertre Rouge and lightly brushed the barrier.

20:08 p.m. – 🔴 RED FLAG 🔴 Francesco Castellacci lost control of the #54 Ferrari in LMGT3.

20h08 - The first times arrive, it is Oliver Jarvis who occupies the leading position in LM P2.

20h03 - Dane Cameron, driving the AO by TF No. 199 Oreca, will be the first to cross the start/finish line to start his fast lap.
