Ferrari, favorite for its own succession at the 24 Hours of Le Mans?

Weaned from victory since the 24 2023 Hours of Le Mans, the Ferrari 499P has however shown great things in qualifying and in the race in 2024. While Porsche dominated the start of the season, would the Italian manufacturer not ultimately be favorite in its own estate?

Ferrari made a successful return to sport-proto last season by triumphing at the Centenary of 24 Hours of Le Mans. However, the Italian manufacturer has not managed to find the path to success since. The 499Ps showed some good things at the start of the season, but a strategic error at Imola (stopping the three cars too late to put on the Rain tires) and bad luck at Spa-Francorchamps (a red flag then a race restart which allowed the Porsche to go ahead) cost the trans firm potential successesalpine.

The impressions left on the last two races of the season, with a hat-trick in Hyperpole in Italy and the two cars in the lead after mid-race in Belgium, however, suggest that
