Kevin Estre, here we are again, the famous Le Mans week, the ten days rather 24 Hours of Le Mans, how do we feel?
It's going well, we feel good, it's starting, and it's starting strong! There are still meetings yesterday, appointments, etc. Now, the weigh-in with a lot of people, a lot of autographs, journalists. It's always nice to come here. It's my eleventh this year, so it's starting to get old, I'm starting to get old! But otherwise, very happy to be here.
Now that there was the world championship title obviously, last year, Le Mans is even more of a goal I imagine? The start of the season is not very easy for Porsche. How do you feel about this edition for the German brand?
It's okay, I'm pretty positive, even if yes, the start of the season was difficult. Le Mans is really a completely different circuit from the rest of the championship. We proved last year that we weren't far from being there. We weren't the fastest, but we were, let's say, the third force. We hope to be in front this year. It's hard to say. I hope we've improved our package a little and now we'll manage to have the performance we need to win this race. It's going to be difficult, it's going to be very close I think. But no, it's okay, we're confident. We didn't make any big changes to the team, we changed a driver, so we lost André (Lotterer) and we have Matt (Campbell) instead. But there you go, we're very united, we have reliability, we have consistency. We've proven in the past that we're capable of winning big races and the championship. So I think we have a good package.
