“The ring road during rush hour”: Toyota complains about traffic in qualifying

The format of the qualifying session for the 24 Hours of Le Mans and its dense traffic due to the 62 cars on track during the same session was the talk of Le Mans this Thursday. Particularly on the Toyota side.

Toyota remained at the dock. The Japanese manufacturer failed to place any of its cars in Hyperpole, with only 11th and 23rd places in the qualifying session. A poor performance all the more surprising as the TGR took third place on the Test Day on Sunday and dominated the first two Free Practice sessions.

« It's not great, we're a little frustrated and disappointed, told us Sébastien Buemi Thursday noon in the Sarthe paddock. We set the best time in Free Practice 1 and 2, and we qualified 11th and 23rd… We're a little bummed, honestly. » The Swiss points out in particular the qualifying format
