Maxime Martin, how did the Test Day go?

No problem. We seem to be in the game.

Have you checked the weather forecast for this weekend? You did pretty well in the rain at Imola…

This can work in our favor. Difficult conditions can have an impact, positive or negative. You have to have a little luck, be in the right place at the right time. Many factors come into play. There will be the strategic side, but also having the right information at the right time. We have a very good team behind us, very good engineers. We are good at pit stops. This can work both in our favor and against us. It remains a game of luck and a lottery. At Imola, the gamble paid off, because we left both cars on Slicks. It was quite tense at times. It will be the same for us.

Regarding the lack of heating of the tires, have you already seen during the Test Day the places where the grip could be lacking?

Goodyear has done a very good job with the GT3s and we are much faster than the cars in the Hypercar class coming out of the pits. This shouldn't be a problem for us.

How were the first steps of your teammates here with BMW (Ahmad Al Harthy and Valentino Rossi) and how will you support them as team captain?

It is clearly me who has the most experience in car racing and 24 Hours of Le Mans. I try to share with them my feedback on this very special and different race. Ahmad already knows this race having competed in it last year with Aston Martin and he finished on the podium (2nd). He has a little more idea of traffic, because he has more experience in this kind of championships compared to Valentino. Despite everything, Le Mans remains easier in terms of traffic than Imola or Spa. Vale drove last year here on Road to Le Mans (victory in race 2). We still need to work to be a little better and optimize traffic. We will take advantage of the tests to be 100%.
