A team that has been incredibly victorious at 24H of Le Mans, Porsche Porsche returns this year with ambitions in the GT3 category. Given the German firm's withdrawal from the Hypercar category, where it was a leading contender, the #91 and #92 crews will have the daunting task of performing in one of the cradles of motorsport legend. To celebrate this special year for Porsche, the brand has decided to make a splash.

This season marks Porsche's 75th anniversary in motorsport. In collaboration with customer team Manthey, the Stuttgart-based firm has therefore decided to sport a 100% silver livery, common to both its cars. Beyond its understated elegance, this livery is a direct tribute to Porsche's first appearance on the track and its class victory in 1951 with the 356 SL coupé. That year, the two French drivers, Auguste Veuillet and Edmond Mouche, made their mark by winning their class in Porsche's very first participation in the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Porsche's rich history at Le Mans

“We not only hold the record for the number of victories in the overall standings and by category, but we are also the only manufacturer to have fielded at least one car on the starting grid of the 24 Hours of Le Mans without interruption since 1951,” says Thomas Laudenbach, Vice President of Porsche Motorsport. “This statistic fills us with pride. It underlines how much Porsche relies on motorsport as a development platform. Ventilated disc brakes, the now indispensable PDK dual-clutch transmission, and 800-volt high-voltage technology are just three examples. We refined these innovations in Weissach, right up to their production development, thanks to our commitment to competition, particularly at Le Mans. They truly originated from racing.”

Adorned with a black "75" enclosed in a vintage white circle on the roof, the Manthey Racing Porsche 911s will attempt to secure a third consecutive victory in the GT3 category, following the successes of 2024 and 2025.
