Dalmas, who is the only driver to have won the general classification with four different manufacturers (Peugeot in 1992, Porsche in 1994, McLaren in 1995 and BMW in 1999), will be the Grand Marshal. His role will therefore be to wave the green flag at the start of the formation lap, and thus lead the 62 crews towards their quest for glory, for 24 hours. This role of Grand Marshal is not to be confused with that of honorary starter. The personality who will have the honor of waving the tricolor flag at the start of the 93rd edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans is not yet known.
François Perrodo was named as the winner of the Spirit of Le Mans trophy. The amateur driver, entered in Endurance for more than ten years, and winner at Le Mans in GTE Am in 2021 and in LM P2 Pro-Am in 2024, is now one of the key figures in the world of motor racing. The Spirit of Le Mans trophy, which was awarded in 2024 to Deborah Mayer, rewards personalities who best symbolize the values of endurance and motor racing: involvement, commitment, teamwork and sporting effort.
« We are very pleased to honor Yannick Dalmas and François Perrodo for this 93rd edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans.", explained Pierre Fillon, president of the Automobile Club de l'Ouest. “Yannick Dalmas is an endurance racing legend, a four-time winner of the event with iconic brands. His track record and commitment make him an ideal figure to take on the role of Grand Marshal this year. François Perrodo, for his part, perfectly represents the values of the Spirit of Le Mans. An amateur driver turned champion, he embodies the passion and commitment that make our discipline so strong. We are particularly proud to celebrate them this year.”

I'm getting my information without cognitive bias... Here's the link: https://www.investigate-europe.eu/fr/themes/investigations/perenco-files Which doesn't prevent F. Perrodo from having an excellent driving style. But to be an example... That said, knowing that Perenco often buys old wells from Total, sponsor of the WRC...

What do you know about it? You have a car, you put gas in it, so like everyone else you pollute, another piece of two-bit bourgeois reasoning.

F. Perrodo honored? No doubt for the exploitation, corruption, and destruction of the environment through the family oil company Perenco...
