Acura, why so much chicanery?

The Japanese manufacturer has announced the entry of a second GTP for the Wayne Taylor Racing with Andretti Autosport team from the 24 Hours of Daytona 2024. Which raises many questions while the premium branch of Honda has still not confirmed its ambition to be at the 24 Hours of Le Mans next year.

Wayne Taylor Racing with Andretti Autosport (WTRwAA) will see double in 2024 with two LMDh ARX-06 prototypes, Acura having decided to strengthen its support. “ Wayne Taylor Racing with Andretti Autosport's skills impressed us from the start of our 2021 partnership, says David Salters, president and technical director of HPD (Honda Performance Development). This continued through the development of the new Acura ARX-06 GTP hybrid car. It's a very complex car, but everyone at WTRAndretti rose to the challenge. Our partnership has been very rewarding and we look forward to them continuing as an Acura factory with the addition of a second place in IMSA next year. »
