I worked on the Nissan ZEOD RC, a prototype with an extremely reduced front track entered at Le Mans in 2012, which was based on an ADESS chassis and operated on a wingless principle similar to that of the Peugeot 9X8. It is a concept which generally goes in the right direction in aerodynamic terms, from the moment where the regulations define a fixed aero level which is relatively easy to achieve. When it works optimally, it is extremely efficient, because with the same support, ground effect generates less drag than a fin.
