Louis Delétraz was untouchable at Spa-Francorchamps this Saturday. The Swiss driver dominated qualifying for the 4 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps, fourth round of the 2024 European season Le Mans Series, with a lap in 2:01.253 to offer pole position to his team AO by TF. The white and red Oreca that he shares with Robert Kubica and Jonny Edgar will start in front of that of Panis Racing this Sunday, Charles Milesi finishing second in this session with 0.407 seconds behind the Acura driver in IMSA.

Tom Dillmann completed the Inter Europol Competition qualifying podium, 0.412 seconds behind Delétraz. Ritomo Miyata (COOL Racing) and Alex Lynn (Algarve Pro Racing) finished in the top 5. The LM P2 qualifying session was interrupted by a long red flag following a double simultaneous exit from the track by Ben Hanley (United Autosports n°22) and Frederik Vesti (COOL Racing).

As for the LM P2 Pro-Am, Rodrigo Sales set the best time in 2:04.537 for the Richard Mille by TDS team. The American beat Giorgio Roda (Proton Competition) by just 0.033 seconds and John Falb (Nielsen Racing) by 0.133 seconds.

The LM P3 session was interrupted by a red flag due to a loose wheel on the #30 DKR Engineering Duqueine M08 – D4 – Nissan driven by Wyatt Brichacek. After the restart, it was Gael Julien who was the fastest to take pole position in this category in 2:11.847 at the wheel of the #320 RLR M Sport Ligier JS P15 – Nissan.

Iron Lynx on pole in LMGT3

Accidented during Free Practice 1 and absent from Free Practice 2 due to repairs, the Porsche 911 No. 85 of the Iron Dames was able to take the track for the last six minutes. Undefeated in the timed lap exercise in ELMS this season, Sarah Bovy, at home, failed to score four in a row in LMGT3 (5th).

The pole position in this category nevertheless remains in the Iron Lynx clan since the Japanese Hiroshi Hamaguchi was the fastest in 2:17.873 at the wheel of the No. 3 Lamborghini Huracan LMGT2 Evo83. Johnny Laursen (Ferrari 296 LMGT3 n°50 of Formula Racing) and Martin Berry (Aston Martin Vantage AMR LMGT3 No. 97 of Grid Motorsport by TF) completed the podium.

See you at 11:30 a.m. this Sunday for the start of the 4 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps, fourth round of the 2024 European Le Mans Series season.
