  • The start of the 4 Hours of Le Castellet was marked by uncertain weather conditions, with a few drops of rain disrupting the early stages of the race. During the formation lap, Rodrigo Sales (TDS Racing) spun on the final corner. From the start, the unpredictable weather played a significant role, with Manuel Maldonado (United Autosports), Paul Lafargue (IDEC Sport), and Jamie Chadwick (IDEC Sport) all crashing out, further complicating the situation.
  • Shortly after, a major accident involved François Perrodo (AF Corse) and a Team Virage LM P3, requiring the intervention of the Safety Car. The race was restarted with 3 hours and 47 minutes remaining.
  • At the front, the drivers who started on wet tires, Matthias Kaiser (Algarve Pro Racing) and Jakob Smiechovski (Inter Europol Competition), quickly opened up a gap on their rivals. Kaiser, driving the No. 07 Oreca 25, got the better of the Pole. However, after less than thirty minutes of racing, Kaiser was forced to pit, allowing Smiechovski to retake the lead. Nielsen Racing is third with the No. 24, ahead of the sister car that leads the LM P2 Pro-Am standings.
  • The first hour was also marked by a technical issue at VDS Panis Racing, which hampered their performance. With less than ten minutes left in this first phase of the race, a new Safety Car was deployed following the accident of Aliaksandr Malykhin, who sent his No. 07 CLX Motorsport Oreca 37 into the wall.
  • The No. 325 M Racing Ligier JS P68, co-driven by Stéphane Tribaudi and Quentin Antonel, leads LM P3. The Spirif of Race team is in first place in LMGT3.
