- The second hour of racing got off to a tense start, immediately after the restart following the second Safety Car intervention. Jakub Smiechowski (Inter Europol Competition), then leading, came in at the restart. The team had to replace the damaged bonnet, which cost precious seconds. At that point, polesitter Nick Yelloly took over at the wheel of the yellow and green Oreca.
- Cem Bolukbasi (Nielsen Racing) briefly inherited the lead, but Matthias Kaiser (Algarve Pro Racing), already prominent in the first hour, quickly took back the lead after the Turk stopped as the rain raged.
- Shortly after, Kaiser handed over the wheel of the No. 25 Oreca to Theo Pourchaire, who begins his relay.
- Taking advantage of this flurry of stops, Macéo Capietto momentarily took the reins of the race for Iron Lynx – Proton and held on to them at the halfway point.
- In LM P2 Pro-Am, the battle rages on. Halfway through the race, René Binder (Proton Competition) overtakes Sergio Sette Camara (Nielsen Racing) and takes the lead in the category.
- La Ferrari Spirit of Race continues to dominate LMGT3 at the halfway point. M Racing is still leading LM P3.
