ELMS: the incubator of the WEC Hypercar category

In 2025, the ELMS will more than ever serve as a springboard for the WEC Hypercar category, as will be the case this year with the arrival of Genesis Magma Racing and Théo Pourchaire.

ELMS: the incubator of the WEC Hypercar category

With 44 cars at the start of the 4 Hours of Barcelona on April 6, theELMS will be filling up like never before in its history. Among the field that will gather in Catalonia, two cars will attract much more attention than the others: the Oreca 07 LM P2 n°18 and n°25, for very different reasons.

The first is entered by the French team IDEC Sport, and will mainly wear the orange color of Genesis. The South Korean manufacturer will enter the Hypercar category of the World Endurance Championship in 2026, but has decided to make its mark in the antechamber of the WEC starting this year.
