What are your feelings before starting this season? ELMS ?
I spent three months on the bench recovering from an injury (The Montreal native injured his back after going off the track during a Super Formula Lights test session. Editor’s note). I appreciate what a privilege it is to be able to return to the circuits; it feels really good. It will be a big change for me. I haven't driven in LM P2 since the Rookie Test in Portimão last year. There will be a lot to learn, especially the way this new team works. The goal is to gain experience in this new category by driving the fastest car in the field, unlike last year. (he competed in GT3 in ELMS and in WEC. Editor's note). This will be an excellent opportunity to prepare me for the future.
What are your goals for this season?
We have everything we need to have a great season. The crew was put together with this in mind. (with Oliver Gray and Charles Milesi. Editor's note: We have seen in the past that the team is very competitive, and we can count on the experience of Olivier Panis. (158 GP of F1). For my part, my ambition is to learn as quickly as possible, to avoid mistakes and to be consistent. Endurance, many factors come into play to achieve a good result. We'll see where it takes us, but we have the means to win races.
After the WEC Rookie Test with Toyota Last year, you were in LM P2. Is this a form of preparation for soon racing in Hypercars?
The goal of this collaboration with Toyota is to prepare me for the highest level. I'm exactly where I need to be for it to work. Their structure is very well organized, and I need to continue working as I have been doing in recent years. I'm fortunate to have an exceptional program this season; it's up to me to make the most of it.
