Daniel Serra has done it again. Having already completed a decisive final stint at Spa-Francorchamps at the end of August, the Brazilian once again gave the Lugano (Switzerland) team victory by taking the lead in the last 10 minutes.

« At one point in the race I think we were completely out of the game and suddenly we were fighting for the win, declared the Auriverde upon arrival. So the strategy was perfect. (Takeshi) Kimura and Esteban (Masson) did a remarkable job. I pushed a bit too much at the beginning and the tyre degradation on this circuit is quite high. So I struggled a bit. Anyway, when I saw the opportunity to attack theAston Martin leader, I did it. It was a nice fair fight. »

Daniel Serra's sacrificial victim is Lorcan Hanafin (Aston Martin n°97 of Grid Motorsport by TF). The Briton, then in the lead, was overtaken seven minutes from the checkered flag. A victory in the money time which propels Kessel Racing to the top of its category with one race to go, two small units ahead of the Aston Martin n°59 of Racing Spirit of Leman (Derek Deboer, Casper Stevenson, Valentin Hasse Clot). Serra could not believe it. If you had asked us if we thought we would fight for the championship two races ago, we would have said no. We must not change our approach to the last weekend. We must try to be fast there. » How do you say never two without three in Portuguese?
