Yelloly places Inter Europol in pole position at the 4 Hours of Castellet

Nick Yelloly took pole position for the 4 Hours of Le Castellet for the Inter Europol Competition team. Charles Milesi took second place for VDS Panis Racing.

The fight for the second pole position of the season in European Le Mans Series offered a great battle, with Nick Yelloly emerging victorious. The British driver set the fastest time in qualifying for the 4 Hours of Le Castellet in the No. 07 Oreca 43 of the Inter Europol Competition team, which also features Frenchman Tom Dillmann.
On the French side, Charles Milesi set the second fastest time for VDS Panis Racing, 0.235 seconds behind the pole position. Matteo Cairoli completed the podium, 0.268 seconds behind Mathys Jaubert (IDEC Sport) for Iron Lynx – Proton.
Luca Ghiotto completed the top 5 with the other Inter Europol Competition Oreca.

A specialist in this exercise, Giorgio Roda held pole position for a long time in LM P2 Pro-Am with the No. 07 Oreca 77 of the Proton Competition team. The Italian was finally beaten in the final seconds by PJ Hyett for AO by TF. The American set the benchmark time of 1:51.442, despite a mistake on his final lap, 0.144 seconds ahead of the Italian.
Victorious in the overall standings at the season opener in Barcelona, the No. 07 Oreca 83 from the AF Corse team did not complete a single lap due to a mechanical problem.

In the LM P3 category, Adrien Closmenil was very impressive, setting the fastest time of 1:57.194 at the wheel of the No. 325 CLX Motorsport Ligier JS P17. The Frenchman dominated his closest rivals by almost a second!

Frenchman Clément Mateu set the LMGT3 category benchmark time of 2:04.641 at the wheel of theAston Martin Vantage AMR No. 59 of Racing Spirit of Léman. Three different manufacturers took the first three places since Duncan Cameron placed the Ferrari 296 n°55 of Spurut of Race in second position in front of the Mercedes- Iron Lynx's #63 AMG, driven by Martin Berry, finished more than seven tenths of a second behind Mateu, who set a very good lap.
Suffering, Claudio Schiavoni left his place in the Porsche No. 60 of the Proton Competition team to team boss Christian Ried.
