GTP

  • While chasing leader Maxime Martin (#25 BMW), Ricky Taylor saw smoke appear at the back of his #06 Acura ARX-10 driven by Wayne Taylor with Andretti Autosport. This did not prevent the American driver from outplaying the Belgian in traffic to put the Japanese prototype back in the lead of the race.
  • Behind, the No. 01 Cadillac took advantage of a wave of pit stops to emerge in front of the No. 25 BMW. Renger van der Zande, at the wheel of the golden prototype, is now in pursuit of Brendon Hartley.
  • Louis Delétraz had a scare at the wheel of the No. 40 Acura while hitting the grass, probably hampered by a very dirty windshield and the low sun.

LM P2

  • Despite some scares, the No. 18 Era Motorsport Oreca is well ahead of the LM P2 ahead of the No. 11 from TDS Racing and the No. 2 from United Autosports.

GTD Pro / GTD

  • It's not women's crew day. After the Iron Dames abandoned, it was the trio of Gradient Racing who were forced to retire. Katherine Legge was sent into the wall in the last corner by Frédéric Makowiecki (Porsche No. 6). A Full Course Yellow has been deployed.
  • With the abandonment of the LM P2 Richard Mille AF Corse in which Lilou Wadoux was entered, there are already no more women in the running three hours from the finish.
