24 hours from Daytona: Ganassi changes nothing

Winner of the 24 Hours of Daytona four times (2006, 2007, 2008 and 2011), the Chip Ganassi Racing team will aim for a fifth success at the Florida event on January 28 and 29. For this, it will count on the same crews as in 2011. On the Riley-BMW n°01, defending champion, the three-time Grand-Am champions will take turns, namely the Californian Scott Pruett and the Mexican Memo Rojas. The two men will be supported by the American Joey Hand, who defends the colors of BMW in the ALMS, and the native of Ohio Graham Rahal, who usually competes in IndyCar. On the 02, three-time IndyCar champion Dario Franchitti will be there again, as will his New Zealand counterpart Scott Dixon. They will again be joined by the two stars of the Nascar who are the Colombian Juan Pablo Montoya and the American Jamie McMurray.

“We have had the chance to achieve numerous successes in Grand-Am over the last eight years, underlines boss Chip Ganassi. Various factors are behind these successes, such as having eight great drivers behind the wheel, a very good package on the track and very good partners. I am delighted to be able to say that once again, all these factors have come together. For the 24 Hours of Daytona, it's always nice to put together crews bringing together drivers from various disciplines, namely Grand-Am, Nascar, IndyCar and ALMS?.
