Representatives of the Honda brand in IndyCar, Ryan Hunter-Reay and Graham Rahal will discover the new Acura NSX GT3, during the 24 Hours of Daytona (January 28-29), opening round of theIMSA Sportscar Championship.

Respectively holders at Andretti Autosport and Team RLL in car, the two Americans will compete for Michael Shank Racing in the GTD category. They will find a team for which they have already driven in the Prototype category in the Florida event, in 2008 for Rahal and in 2009 for Hunter-Reay

Hunter-Reay and Rahal join drivers already confirmed for the 2017 season, namely Andy Lally, Katherine Legge, Ozz Negri and Jeff Segal, who will also be supported for the endurance events by Tom Dyer and Mark Wilkins.

The IndyCar drivers will be on track next week at Daytona with Lally, Legge, Negri and Segal for a new running session, and the eight Shank Racing drivers will be lined up for the Roar Before the 24 (January 6-8), the traditional practice session. tests preceding the 24-hour race.
