24H Daytona: 50 cars expected at the Roar

As the qualifying system for the 24 Hours of Daytona has changed, this 2021 Roar is very important for all participants. The starting grid now defined by a 100-minute qualifying race planned during these test days, the crews have every interest in going there.

Sometimes devoid of cars, the 2021 Roar will indeed be loaded. The first list communicated by theIMSA reports a total of 50 crews for these three days of testing on the Florida track before the double round of the clock at the end of the month (January 30-31).

Victorious last year, the Acura ARX-05 of Wayne Taylor Racing will participate in this Roar Before 24H of Daytona from January 22 to 24. Six more Dpi prototypes are expected in Florida a week before the race.

Formed by five cars in 2020, the LMP2 field increases to ten prototypes this year with the arrival of a few teams from the Old Continent such as Racing Team Nederland or High Class Racing. In LMP3, five Ligiers and two Duqueines will fight for overall victory.

The GTLM class will be made up of only six cars while the GTD will see 20 crews take part in this Roar.

The qualifications taking place during this Roar we can deduce that these 50 crews will participate in the next 24 Hours of Daytona.
