Action Express Racing found itself offside for victory following mechanical problems encountered on the No. 5 Corvette Dp. Wayne Taylor Racing consolidates its lead three hours from the finish.

24h Daytona: Wayne Talor in the lead, Action Express falls

The No. 5 Corvette DP of Filipe Albuquerque was still in the leading group with 3:30 to go before returning to the garage following a problem with the rear axle. No. 31 of simon pagenaud seven laps behind, Action Express Racing's chances of victory are now nil.

At the wheel of the ESM Ligier JS P2, Johannes van Overbeek exchanged first place with Max Angelelli replaced by Ricky Taylor in the No. 10 Wayne Taylor Racing Corvette DP. But the LMP2 with the green livery had to make a drive-through for excessive speed in the pits.

Visitflorida Racing remains in the match with the #90 of Marc Goossens, but the #01 Riley of Chip Ganassi Racing Lance stroll is now several laps behind.
