24H. of Daytona – Brendon Hartley with ESM Racing

The American team confirmed its crews for the 2017 IMSA Sportscar Championship season on Monday. Scott Sharp's structure will notably welcome Brendon Hartley to the 24 Hours of Daytona, when Luis Felipe Derani and Bruno Senna will be lined up for all the NAEC rounds.

If the quartet Scott Sharp, Johannes van Overbeek, Ed Brown and Ryan Dalziel will find the seat of the Ligier-Nissan DPi for all the rounds of theIMSA Sportscar Championship 2017, Tequila Patron ESM Racing will benefit from weight reinforcements from the opening round of the 24 Hours of Daytona (January 28-29).

In the No. 2 French LM P22, Ed Brown and Johannes van Overbeek will be supported in Florida by the New Zealander Brendon Hartley, pilot Porsche Team en WEC, as well as by the Brazilian Bruno senna, the latter also competing in the three other events of the North American Endurance Cup (Sebring, Watkins Glen and Petit Le Mans).

Scott Sharp and Ryan Dalziel will share the No. 2 Ligier, and will be supported in the endurance events by another Brazilian driver, Luis Philip Derani, winner of the double round of the clock at Daytona and the 12 Hours of Sebring this year with ESM Racing.

“I'm very excited for Daytona and working with the team, comments Hartley, who will return to Florida after competing in the event with Chip Ganassi Racing in 2016. They put in some great crews and I'm sure we have a good chance of defending the ESM victory.

I love racing in the United States and especially at Daytona. It is one of the most competitive races in the world with Le Mans. Furthermore, it is excellent preparation for my campaign in the World Endurance Championship. »
