34 cars are expected to take part in the Petit Le Mans finale next week at Road Atlanta for the final meeting of 2019 IMSA.

34 cars for the Petit Le Mans final

Contested over ten hours, the Petit final Le Mans at Road Atlanta (Georgia) must crown in a week the champions of the 2019 season of theIMSA, at the end of a very tight campaign in all categories.

34 cars will be at the start including the two Acura ARX-05 – Acura Team Penske of Dane Cameron – Juan Pablo Montoya, leaders of the general classification, and Ricky Taylor – Helio Castroneves, still mathematically in contention for the crown, despite being 20 points behind.

The most serious threat to Cameron – Montoya, supported by simon pagenaud at Petit Le Mans, could however come from the No. 31 Cadillac DPi-VR – Action Express Racing of Pipo Derani – Felipe Nasr, second in the general classification just twelve points behind the leaders, and supported for this final by Eric Curran.

Matthieu Vaxivière will be lined up in the No. 10 Cadillac DPi-VR – Wayne Taylor Racing with Renger van der Zande and Jordan Taylor, while Romain Dumas will return to the seat of the Nissan DPi – CORE Autosport. Olivier Pla will support the Jonathan Bomarito – Harry Tincknell crew on the No. 24 Mazda RT55-P – Mazda Team Joest.

Tristan Vautier, for his part, remains involved with JDC-Miller in the No. 85 Cadillac DPi-VR.

In GTLM, Porsche est en position de force, le duo Laurens Vanthoor – Earl Bamber menant le championnat avec 12 points d’avance sur le second tandem de Weissach Patrick Pilet – Nick Tandy. Mathieu Jaminet épaulera la paire « Bamthor » quand Frédéric Makowiecki sera au soutien de Patrick Pilet et Nick Tandy.

As confirmed yesterday, Ferrari and Risi Competizione will be back with a 488 GTLM entrusted to the trio Alessandro Pier Guidi – James Calado – Daniel Serra, winners at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Sebastian Bourdais will find the No. 66 Ford GT alongside Joey Hand and Dirk Müller.

In GTD, Park Place Motorsports will not be there with its Porsche 911 GT3 R
