40 cars expected at the Roar Before the Rolex 24

The 24 Hours of Daytona (January 25-26), traditional first round of theIMSA, should once again be full of entries in 2020. The big dress rehearsal of the Roar Before the Rolex 24 (January 3-5) displays 40 cars on the entry list, representing a total of twelve manufacturers.

In DPi, the favorites will once again be Acura Team Penske, title holders, Mazda Team Joest and Action Express Racing. Without forgetting the two Cadillac DPi-VRs from JDC-Miller Motorsports, including the one entered under the Mustang Sampling Racing banner with Sébastien Bourdais et Loïc duval.

Seven LM P2s should be there, with PR1/Mathiasen and Performance Tech Motorsports at the front of the line. Six Oreca 07s will be entered, compared to a single Riley MK30 for Rick Ware Racing.

Suite à l’arrêt du programme Ford Chip Ganassi, le peloton GTLM ne comportera que sept voitures, avec les deux Porsche 911 RSR – Porsche North America, les deux Corvette C8.R qui feront leurs grands débuts, les deux BMW M8 – Team RLL et la Ferrari 488 of the Risi Competizione which remains on a victory in Petit Le Mans last October.

The GTD category will be the largest with 18 GT3s, including the three cars operated under different banners by Grasser Racing Team, the Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo from WRT Speedstar but also a Aston Martin Vantage GT3 lined up under the official flag of Aston Martin Racing.
