Acura Team Penske wins in Detroit

Juan Pablo Montoya and Dane Cameron achieved their pole position this Saturday by imposing theAcura ARX-05 n°6 – Acura Team Penske in the streets of Belle Isle in Detroit, Michigan.

The tandem from Roger Penske's team dominated the first part of the event with the former driver F1, before Dane Cameron resisted the return of the No. 31 Cadillac DPi-VR – Action Express Racing of Felipe Nasr, associated with Pipo Derani, at the very end of the race.

Cameron made no mistake, crossing the line less than a second ahead of the Brazilian. Acura Team Penske even took a double podium with third place for the #05 ARX-7 of Ricky Taylor and Helio Castroneves.

The top 5 is completed by the two Cadillac DPi-VR – JDC Miller Motorsports, the No. 84 of Simon Trummer and Stephen Simpson ahead of the No. 85 of Tristan Vautier and Misha Goikhberg.

In GTD, victory went to the #3 Lexus RC F GT14 – AIM Vasser Sullivan of Jack Hawksworth and Richard Heistand, the second consecutive victory for the Japanese car in IMSA. Le podium est complété par la Porsche 911 GT3 R n°73 – Park Place Motorsports de Long – Robichon et la seconde Lexus RC F GT3 – AIM Vasser Sullivan de Bell – Montecalvo.
