ALMS – Bouchut wins in Baltimore, doubled by Level 5

Muscle Milk Racing looked set to score another victory with the HPD ARX-03a of Lucas Luhr and Klaus Graf starting from pole, but the Championship leaders encountered gearbox problems causing them to lose eight laps. An accident in the final laps will conclude a very disappointing weekend for the No. 6. The Dyson Racing Lola B12/60-Mazda driven by Chris Dyson and Guy Smith also lost several laps to repair damage to the bodywork. The category victory went to the Dyson Racing Lola B11/66 which was driven by Michael Marsal and Éric Lux. But the #20 crew lost time by hitting a wall of tires before stopping just before a yellow flag and the leading LMP1 only finished 13th in the general classification.

The rout of the LMP1s allows Level 5 Motorsports to score a resounding double with its two HPD ARX-03b LMP2s. Christophe Bouchut and Scott Dixon took the victory ahead of their teammates Luis Diaz and Ricardo Gonzalez (on the No. 95 where Scott Tucker was also entered). The podium was completed by the Oreca FLM09 Core Autosport of Alex Popow and Ryan Dalziel who took victory in the LMPC category.
