ALMS – ESM relies on continuity to win

Growing in strength since his arrival in American Le Mans Series in 2010, Extreme Speed Motorsports had, without a doubt, its most accomplished season in 2012, as the results attest: Two victories for the Sharp-Van Overbeek duo at Mid-Ohio, a third place in the championship Teams and an honorary title of vice-champion for the same Scott Sharp and Johannes van-Overbeek.

“It has been very rewarding to see the team get stronger and stronger over the years and races, says driver boss Scott Sharp. Continuity is one of the keys to our success. I am very excited to make it official that our four drivers have re-signed. » In 2013, Scott Sharp and Johannes van Overbeek will once again share the wheel of the Ferrari 458 Italia GTC n°01, and the crew of n°02 will once again be made up of Guy Cosmo and Ed Brown.

Johannes van Overbeek, leader of the category for several years now, hopes that the fourth year with ESM will be synonymous with a title. “It’s incredible to say that we are leaving with an unchanged driver line-up, continues the latter. All the hard work paid off this year with six podiums and two victories. Although happy to finish second in the Drivers' standings, I am not happy with second place. »

We will have understood, next year, it is the title which is openly targeted. Corvette & co have been warned.
