ALMS – Muscle Milk continues at Mid-Ohio

Nothing seems to be able to stop Klaus Graf and Lucas Luhr who are dominating the ALMS Championship head and shoulders this season. Starting from pole on the Mid-Ohio circuit, the HPD ARX-03a quickly took off without ever being really worried by the Lola B12/60-Mazda of Chris Dyson and Guy Smith who took second place one lap behind on the winning crew. The Lola B11/66 of Éric Lux and Michael Marsal only finished in 13th position, it was the LM P2 HPD ARX-03b Level 5 Motorsports of Christophe Bouchut and Scott Tucker which completed the podium two laps behind.

Rudy Junco and Marino Franchitti won the LM PC category with the Oreca FLM09 of PR1/Mathiasen, taking sixth place in the general classification in the final moments of the race following a misunderstanding by the CORE team having recalled the n°06 of 'Alex Popow and Ryan Dalziel in the pits for unknown reasons. The crew took second place in the category ahead of the No. 8 from the Merchant team driven by Kyle Marcelli and Matt Downs.

La seconde Corvette pilotée par Jan Magnussen and Antonio Garcia lost valuable points by breaking the suspension of their car following contact with a Porsche 911 GT3 Cup in the GTC category.

Jeroen Bleekemolen and Tim Pappas crossed the finish line as winners of the GTC category, but the drivers of the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup from the TRG team saw their first success escape them for not having respected the driving time authorized by pilot. First place goes to the JDX team with Spencer Pumpelly and Al Carter.
