ALMS: Pagenaud again on pole

Back in the United States to compete this weekend in the 4th round of the American Le Mans Series, Poitevin simon pagenaud found the De Ferran Motorsports team and its Acura ARX-02a. Moving so successfully from the Japanese proto to the Peugeot 908 HDi FAP and vice versa, the Frenchman once again revealed his great ability to adapt at the wheel of two very different cars. Indeed, the Acura is an open prototype with a naturally aspirated gasoline engine, while the Peugeot is a closed-cockpit prototype powered by a turbocharged diesel unit. After having achieved the feat of signing pole position, victory and best lap in the race last weekend aboard the Peugeot that he discovered during the 1000 km of Spa-Francorchamps, Pagenaud won on Saturday afternoon (16 p.m. local) his second pole position in the American Le Mans Series aboard the Acura. Entering the track at the very end of the session, the Frenchman propelled himself to the top of the hierarchy from his second fast lap with a time of 00'1"30. He is 645/7 ahead of David Brabham in the second Acura LMP10, author of a best lap in 1'1"31. Tomorrow, Simon Pagenaud and his teammate Gil De Ferran will try to win their second victory of the season.
