ALMS – Road America, a route for Conquest?

Although there are few competitors in the LM P2 category of the ALMS, the fight is nonetheless very close. Although a beginner in the discipline, the Conquest team Endurance gives Level 5 Motorsports a hard time. It must be said that with the Morgan-Nissan built by OnRoak Automotive, Eric Bachelart's troops have bet on a car capable of tickling the HPD ARX-03b. Victorious at Mosport, the Conquest team wants to do it again at Road America this weekend, during the seventh round of the ALMS. Road America, a circuit whose specificities should suit the qualities of the Morgan well. A victory objective therefore far from being excessive, especially when we analyze the performances of the Martin Plowman-David Heinemeier Hansson pair during their last outings. At Mid-Ohio, the car flanked by the No. 37 took the best lap in the race in an LM P2 category in which it was leader for a major part of the event. Hence a certain ambition for the coming weekend for David Heinemeier Hansson.

“I did my very first ALMS race here last year in GTC, underlines the Dane. It's going to be nice to come back with an LM P2 and see how different it is. I think Road America, with its straights and fast turns, will suit the Morgan Nissan well. We will obviously do our best to do as we did at Mosport, and thus make our return to the top step of the podium. »

David Heinemeier Hansson would like to join Oak Racing, with whom he will compete in the 6 Hours of Silverstone, with a victory in his pocket. Still, Christophe Bouchut and Scott Tucker will not hear it that way.
