Rebellion Racing extends Andrea Belicchi

Rebellion Racing has not yet finalized its program for the 2013 season but the Swiss team has already announced the entry of a Lola B12/60-Toyota in ALMS and the arrival of Mathias Beche, who notably distinguished himself last year in ELMS and 24 Hours of Le Mans with the Thiriet by TDS Racing. If the Swiss team has not confirmed its commitment to WEC, she will unveil her full program this month. In the meantime, she confirmed the presence in her ranks of Andrea Belicchi, who has been defending the team's colors for three years in Endurance. The 37-year-old Italian took two privateer LMP1 victories in the WEC Championship last year at the 6 Hours of Silverstone and the 6 Hours of Shanghai.

Andrea Belicchi will be present at the 12 Hours of Sebring which will open the ALMS Championship next March. “I'm delighted to race with Rebellion Racing again, it's my second family, assures the Italian pilot. The team's racing program for 2013 is not finalized at the moment, but I am sure it will be interesting. There is mutual trust between us and we will seek to be in a position to win, whatever championship or continent we will race in! The team and its technical partners are working hard on improvements to the car, there are many developments to come. I am ready to start the new season with Rebellion Racing. » And team manager Bart Hayden added: “I am very happy that Andrea will be with us again next season, he has been and remains a key member of the team, he is fast, reliable, loyal and he shares our team spirit. »
