Crew change at Cadillac for the 12 Hours of Sebring. Alex Lynn will not be traveling to Florida to compete in the second round of theIMSA as he will be replaced in Wayne Taylor Racing's No. 40 V-Series.R by Brendon HartleyThe New Zealander is a regular at WTR and has already taken part in the 24 Hours of Daytona at the end of January, but in the No. 10 alongside Ricky Taylor, Filipe Albuquerque and Will Stevens.
Intended for all rounds ofEndurance Cup in the #40 Cadillac alongside Jordan Taylor and Louis Delétraz, Lynn had already missed the Florida classic due to illness and was also deprived of the tests at Sebring after his Swiss teammate's accident at Daytona (WTR had only one car fit for these tests). In this context, the Wayne Taylor Racing team and the American manufacturer decided to replace the 31-year-old driver with Brendon Hartley at Sebring.
« With Alex Lynn missing the 24 Hours of Daytona due to illness and not having the opportunity to test at Sebring International Raceway due to the availability of a Cadillac Wayne Taylor Racing V-Series.R, General Motors, the team and the two-time Sebring winner have agreed that it is best for Alex to miss Sebring and focus on the FIA World Endurance Championship season (WEC) with Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA " said a spokesperson for Wayne Taylor Racing.
This decision was taken before the 1812 km of Qatar, so it is not a consequence of the accident between the two Cadillacs which occurred during the opening round of the FIA World Endurance Championship last Friday.
