Cadillac doesn't stop. Expected for the 24 2023 Hours of Daytona (January 26-29) and later at 24 Hours of Le Mans (June 10 and 11), the American LMDh continues the driving sessions with a view to its competitive debut in a few years. Based in Sebring, the Detroit manufacturer, under the supervision of Chip Ganassi Racing, carried out a new phase of testing with its prototype.

In Florida, Sebastien Bourdais, Renger van der Zande, Earl Bamber and Alex Lynn took turns aboard the LMDh for 5 days during which Cadillac was able to collect valuable data to continue developing its machine. “ As we develop this complex system now, we have been able to draw on their expertise as well as that of our team, underlines Kalvin Parker, deputy program director. Obtaining the full support of our suppliers was essential to being able to keep up the kilometers."

« It was great to be able to drive the car at Sebring, rejoices for his part Alex Lynn. We were able to learn a lot about the car during these 5 days of testing. The Cadillac V8 sounds amazing and works great. I look forward to learning more. It was a lot of fun and so far we haven't had anything alarming."

À Sebring, Cadillac a partagé la piste avec Porsche dont le phase de roulage a commencé au mois de janvier. « The collaboration between manufacturers on the development of the one-make hybrid system is incredible and has made it easier to identify and resolve problems.,” explains Laura Wontrop Klauser, director of the sports program at General Motors.

« Discovering the new Cadillac LMDh at Sebring was a very exciting experience, declared Sébastien Bourdais. The car not only looks good, it's also a lot of fun to drive. It's still early and we haven't focused on working on the settings but the base is already very solid and I'm looking forward to getting back behind the wheel soon »

Tests will continue throughout the year, indicates Cadillac, which will engage in IMSA with two LMDh (one for Chip Ganassi Racing and one for Action Express) and one in WEC for Chip Ganassi Racing.
