Colton Herta has been in the news in recent weeks for a possible arrival in Formula 1 in 2023, raising questions around the rules for awarding the Super License.

This will not pose a problem for participating in the 24 Hours of Daytona (January 26-29, 2023), and the American driver, accustomed to theIndyCar will therefore participate in its fifth Florida double clock tower in a row. He will even find BMW and Team RLL with whom he already drove at Daytona in 2019 and 2020 in GTLM. Over the past two years, he has represented Turner Motorsport in GTD (2021) and DragonSpeed USA in LM P2 (2022). Double winner of the event (2019 in GTLM and 2022 in LM P2), this will be the first time that he will compete in the top category.

As a reminder, the four drivers fully selected to represent BMW M Team RLL in GTP in 2023 are Augusto Farfus, Phillip Eng, Connor de Phillippi and Nick Yellolly.
